Davis County sponsoring classes for caregivers

FARMINGTON — The Davis County Health Department is offering a free series of six workshops that assist family and community caregivers in developing the skills needed to manage an in-home care environment.

The Caregiver Academy will be held will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursdays Jan. 17 through Feb. 21, at the University of Utah Farmington Clinic, 165 N. University Ave.

Topics include finding caregiver resources, building caregiver resilience, setting good care boundaries, involving family and others, managing difficult behaviors and understanding care options.

Space is limited and registration is required at 801-525-5050, Option 5.
