'I'll take that, thank you' and other Twitter reactions from the Holiday Bowl

As the Utah Utes took a 20-3 lead over the Northwestern Wildcats in the first half of the Holiday Bowl on Monday evening, Twitter users certainly had some good reactions to what was happening on the field.

Here are some of the best.

Early lead

The Utes took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter thanks mostly to the play of quarterback Jason Shelley and the defense. Shelley threw touchdown passes, and the defense came up with a big fourth-down stop in the opening frame.

It is amusing to see teams that are unfamiliar with Utah try to adjust to their level of physicality.

Not a lot of teams bring that level of nasty anymore.

Not so fast

Things calmed down in the second quarter as just three field goals were scored between the two teams. Utah's defense remained incredibly physical, however, and Marquise Blair snagged an interception.

Utah has held Northwestern to -5 yards rushing at the half, and leads 20-3.

One of the Utes' field goals came at the end of the half as they couldn't punch a red zone opportunity into the end zone.

Utah players could be seen wearing some unique hoodies on the field, and reporter Darren Rovell provided the story behind them.
