
SALT LAKE CITY — Count coach Kyle Whittingham among those mourning the death of Bruce Woodbury. The longtime University of Utah athletics department employee died Sunday evening after a battle with a variety of health issues. He was 70 years old.
"I loved Woody. He was great person and I thought the world of him," Whittingham said. "He's got a great family. He was such an asset to the university for so many years."
Whittingham praised Woodbury for having a positive attitude. He added that Woodbury was always willing to help people and was just an all-around good guy.
"He'll be missed," Whittingham said. "Woody will definitely be missed."
