I was irritated when the Deseret News started using human interest stories on the front page instead of real news articles, but I put up with that and just figured on getting the news on the second page. Now irritation has turned to real dismay with the advertising flyleaf that has taken the place of even the non-news front page.
Before, when the advertising flyleafs were inserted, I could just strip them out to the recycle bin and go on reading the paper. Now they have become part of the back page and can't be stripped out without recycling the whole page where some of the real news articles are continued.
It's all very frustrating and makes me want to revert to what most of the world has already done and get my news from the internet. No wonder circulation continues to go south when the paper becomes unreadable.
