By the end of 2018, Netmarketshare sets a 40% quota for Windows 10 after a rise of more than 1 %. Windows 7 goes down to the second position, decreasing by 2% while Windows 8.1 drops a couple of tenths to 4%. Windows 10 exceeds Windows 7 but in the global computation of Windows systems loses two and a half points (a total of 86%) compared to the previous month, which are collected by the MacOS and Linux systems.
It has been Apple's operating system the one that has increased the most in December, from 9% to 10.65% of the quota. For its part, Linux increased seven tenths to 2.78% market share. An important rise but still far below the potential of the free system and the enormous presence that they have in other computational segments outside the computer desktop.
