CHICAGO — The Utah Jazz responded to Thursday's loss to the Hawks by crushing the Chicago Bulls 114-83 Saturday night to end a four-game road trip with three victories.
Here are four takeaways from the game at the United Center.
First half to remember: The Jazz could do no wrong in the first half to lead the Bulls 70-36 at halftime. It was the Jazz's largest road halftime lead ever and the second-highest deficit ever for the Bulls. Every player on the Jazz had at least a +13. Utah also had an 18-0 run in the fourth quarter that included this gem of a play:
Balanced scoreline: Rudy Gobert led the team with 21 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks and two assists before sitting out the entire fourth quarter. Donovan Mitchell (16 points), Derrick Favors (13), Joe Ingles (13), Ricky Rubio (12), Jae Crowder (11) and Raul Neto (10) all reached double figures.
Jimmer time: Just days after hosting the NCAA Tournament, Vivint Arena will host a former national college player of the year in Jimmer Fredette. The former BYU standout is scheduled to make his debut with the Phoenix Suns on Monday vs. the Jazz.
Playoff push: The Jazz pull back into a three-way tie for fifth in the Western Conference with Oklahoma City and the L.A. Clippers. They are two games back of No. 4 Portland and one game better than San Antonio. On Sunday, the Spurs play at Boston while the Clippers are at New York.
