Nearly every day I am surprised and often shocked by the comments and tweets of President Donald Trump. This week has been no exception.
His constant denigration of the late Sen. John McCain's honorable war record and six years as a prisoner of war is disgusting. Trump's record as the sole presidential draft-dodger should quiet him but doesn't. McCain must be smiling in his new sphere realizing Trump can't forget that McCain was the superior man.
More worrisome is Trump's statement that the police forces and military may go after his detractors with violence. Is this the kind of man we have elected as the president of the United States?
