SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Transit Authority wants to make it easier to attend Saturday’s Sugar House Big Backyard Bash by waiving fare on the S-Line all day long.
The bash, which runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Fairmont Park, 1040 Sugarmont Drive (2225 South), will feature food trucks, a beverage garden, art, live music by local bands, and activities such as cornhole and lawn games, as well as fishing at the park’s fishing pond.
The free fare zone will run from the Salt Lake Central Pointe Station to the Fairmont Station across from the event. Riders using the S-Line to reach the Salt Lake Central Pointe Station and transferring to TRAX or bus service will be required to purchase tickets.
