Police believe 19-year-old may have been assaulted before he was found in road
MILLCREEK — A 19-year-old man was critically injured early Sunday morning after he was run over while lying in the road in Millcreek, police said.
About 1:30 a.m., a tow truck struck the man at 4070 S. Main, said Unified police detective Kevin Mallory.
Mallory said police believe the man “may have been assaulted prior to the accident.” Investigators Sunday were trying to determine why the man had been lying in the road.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Additional information about his injuries were not available Sunday afternoon.
Mallory said the tow truck driver was cooperating with police. There were no signs of impairment, according to the detective.
