Cyclist hit by semi in Lehi dies

LEHI — A cyclist from Alpine who was in a collision with a semitractor-trailer in Lehi earlier this week has died, police confirmed Thursday.

Craig Denney, 68, was in critical condition after the crash on Monday afternoon, Lehi police said at the time. Denney was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, then flown to a larger hospital, police said.

The collision happened on Timpanogos Highway, just east of the I-15 overpass, shortly before 1 p.m. Monday. The truck was pulling two trailers, according to police.

The crash is still under investigation, but police do not suspect that Denney or the truck driver were impaired, said Sgt. Bill Loveridge on Thursday.
