SPRINGVILLE — A Springville man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting in the city over the weekend.
Lazaro A. Nieves, 29, was killed early Sunday morning.
The shooting happened about 2 a.m. near 1600 South and U.S. 89, according to Springville Police Chief Craig Martinez.
Police found Nieves’s body after responding to a report of shots fired.
No additional details about Nieves’ death were released Monday, though police said they anticipated giving an update Tuesday.
