SALT LAKE CITY — Free Bikes 4 Kidz, a nonprofit organization that provides bicycles to children in need, will be collecting bikes of all sizes on Saturday.
Bikes can be dropped off at Nate Wade Subaru, 1207 S. Main, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or during South Salt Lake’s Craftoberfest, 2511 S. West Temple, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Cash donations will also be accepted. All donations are tax deductible.
Free Bikes 4 Kidz was founded by a group of cyclists in Minneapolis in 2008. Since then, the organization says it has given away more than 60,000 refurbished bikes. In 2015, Free Bikes 4 Kidz Utah became the first affiliate outside Minnesota. The organization can now be found in eight states.
