Fire destroys three large buildings at Richfield furniture company

RICHFIELD — A fire in Richfield destroyed three large buildings at Dogberry Collections furniture company on Friday, Richfield police reported.

Fire officials determined the buildings, located at 253 E. Annabella Road, were a total loss.

Richfield police and fire were the first to arrive at the blaze. The structures, located at the edge of the city, were in close proximity to homes, according to a news release.

Monroe Fire Department and Salina Fire Department assisted in fighting the fire.

Police did not say whether anyone was inside the buildings when the fire broke out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
