Keyan Adams snowboards in the terrain park on opening day at Brighton Resort at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon on Tuesday. Although the state hasn’t seen much snow, several resorts are set to open in the next couple of weeks including Park City Mountain Resort and Brian Head on Friday; Snowbasin on Nov. 27; Alta, Solitude and Snowbird on Nov. 29; Sundance Mountain Resort on Dec. 6; Deer Valley on Dec. 7; and Eagle Point on Dec. 20. Other resorts that haven’t scheduled an opening date are Beaver Mountain, Cherry Creek, Nordic Valley, Powder Mountain and Woodward Park City. According to KSL’s Grant Weyman, a storm moving into the Wasatch Front from the south will bring rain throughout the day Wednesday. By late Wednesday night, the rain will mix with snow along the Wasatch Front, with some accumulation by Thursday morning. Mountain areas are expected to get heavy snowfall.
