For Liberty … The Flames are coming off a 63-point performance last week against UMass.

For BYU … For the Cougars, this game marks the first time this season that they won’t be playing a nationally ranked opponent at LaVell Edwards Stadium. Previously, BYU played No. 14 Utah, No. 24 USC and No. 22 Washington at home.

Baylor Romney, BYU quarterback: The redshirt freshman came off the bench and completed 10 of 16 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s win over USU. He’s expected to start Saturday.

Stephen Buckshot Calvert, Liberty quarterback: The senior has completed 174 of 282 passes for 2,638 yards with 20 touchdowns and three interceptions this season.

BYU’s linebackers and defensive secondary vs. Liberty’s passing game: The Cougars should be tested against the Flames, who rank No. 30 nationally in passing offense. Wide receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden has caught 54 passes for 1,082 yards and seven TDs. BYU, meanwhile, recorded three interceptions last week against Utah State.
