CEDAR CITY — Three people were arrested Friday after 40 pounds of meth — along with heroin and fentanyl — was discovered during a traffic stop.
Troopers stopped two cars traveling north together on I-15 near Cedar City for equipment violations about 10:30 a.m., according to Utah Highway Patrol.
Police searched the cars after a K-9 smelled narcotics and found 40 pounds of meth in one car and two pounds of heroin and fentanyl pills in the other car, Utah Highway Patrol said.
Three people were arrested in connection to the incident, according to Sgt. Lawrence Hopper, but police have not released their names.
