A Utah Army National Guard honor guard receives the remains of U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Kirk T. Fuchigami after they arrived by plane at Ogden-Hinckley Airport in Ogden on Saturday. Fuchigami, 25, and his co-pilot, 33-year-old Chief Warrant Officer 2 David Knadle, of Texas, were killed Nov. 20 when their Apache helicopter crashed during an operation in Afghanistan. Fuchigami’s remains were received by his wife and family and then transported to a mortuary in Brigham City. Funeral services are planned for Monday. Fuchigami, originally from Keaau, Hawaii, will be buried with full military honors and a military flyover at the Brigham City Cemetery. Fuchigami left for a nine-month deployment in late October. He married wife, McKenzie, who is from Corinne in Box Elder County, in March.
