Running back Devonta’e Henry-Cole and defensive back Nygel King have entered their names into the mix to transfer elsewhere
SALT LAKE CITY — Utah running back Devonta’e Henry-Cole and defensive back Nygel King have entered their names into the mix to transfer elsewhere, according to 247 Sports.
Since 247 Sports’ report, both players have insinuated on social media that they’re planning to transfer, although one was more straightforward than the other. Henry-Cole posted a photo on Instagram with a caption that read “THANK YOU. @utahfootball,” while King posted on Twitter that he has put his name in the transfer portal.

Henry-Cole, a 5-foot-11, 196-pound junior from Boca Raton, Florida, saw action in 25 games for Utah. Last season, he had 24 carries for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Henry-Cole also had three receptions, including one for a score.
Prior to missing the 2018 season with an injury, Henry-Cole ran for 279 yards on 55 rushes with two touchdowns. As a true freshman in 2016, he had one carry for 2 yards.
King, a 6-foot, 180-pound defensive back from Tomball, Texas, appeared in 29 games on special teams from 2017-19 for Utah. The 2016 redshirt has one career tackle on defense.
