The Utah Jazz won their sixth straight game, beating Derrick Favors and the New Orleans Pelicans 128-126 on Monday night at the Smoothie King Center. Here are three takeaways from the game.

  • Rudy Gobert made another game-winning defensive play, blocking Brandon Ingram as he attempted to make a game-tying layup. Ingram and the Pelicans wanted a foul, but none was called on the floor and the Jazz ran into the visitors’ tunnel victorious.

Donovan Mitchell, who finished with 19 points, hit the game-winning shot with 1:12 remaining to put the Jazz up two.

  • Bojan Bogdanovic and Brandon Ingram went back and forth all night. Bogdanovic finished with 35 points to lead the Jazz, while Ingram also poured in 35 points. Despite looking like he hurt his wrist midway through the fourth quarter, Bogdanovic kept playing and scored 10 points in the quarter. Ingram had five points in the final period of play.
  • In his first game against his former team, Derrick Favors scored nine points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out two assists. He was 4-for-7 from the field in 29 minutes.
