BYU releases 2020 football schedule; Cougars will face three teams that finished 2019 in the final top-25

PROVO — Are you ready for some college football?

BYU released its 2020 football schedule late Wednesday afternoon, a 12-game slate that includes three matchups with top-25 teams from last season and six games against Power Five conference opponents.

The Cougars will face three teams — Minnesota, Utah and Boise State — that finished 2019 in the final top-25 polls. Seven of the teams on the 2020 schedule earned a bowl invitation this postseason and the Cougars’ upcoming FBS opponents finished 2019 a combined 85-56 (.603).

In all, the schedule includes teams from 10 different states and seven conferences, including the SEC, Big Ten, Pac-12, American, Mountain West, Mid-American and Big South.
