Pioneer Theatre Company, 300 S. 1400 East, will host auditions for “Something Rotten!” on Friday, Jan. 10. Auditions for Actors’ Equity Association members will be 1-2 p.m., followed by general auditions until 5 p.m. Auditioners can sign up in room 325 at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre starting Jan. 3. Auditioners should be prepared to sing 16 bars of a song in the style of the production; an accompanist will be provided. A headshot and resume are recommended. The Salt Lake City Arts Council is inviting Utah artists to submit qualifications for the 9th South Roundabout opportunity. The Salt Lake Art Design Board will select three finalists to propose artwork for the site and one finalist will be selected for the final installation. The roundabout features a pre-poured concrete base in its center, six feet in diameter and one foot thick, which provides a platform for a public artwork that complements the 9th and 9th neighborhood and the 9-Line Corridor’s mission, values and objectives. Craft Lake City is accepting applications for potential exhibitors and performers for the 12th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival, which will be held at the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City Aug. 7-9. Utah-based artisans, vendors, exhibitors, performers and entertainers are encouraged to apply by April 6 at craftlakecity.com/apply.
