SALT LAKE CITY — A Salt Lake man with a violent criminal past is wanted again by authorities, this time on allegations of soliciting a teenage girl.
Paul Kenneth Madill, 44, was charged Wednesday in 3rd District Court with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony, and dealing in harmful materials to a minor, a third-degree felony.
From September to October, Madill exchanged nude pictures with a 17-year-old girl, according to charging documents.
A $150,000 warrant was issued for his arrest as prosecutors believe he has fled to Wyoming or Idaho, charging documents state.
Madill, who has a long criminal history, is currently on parole.
In 2006, Madill was convicted of negligent homicide, a class A misdemeanor and was sentenced to time served for the one year he was in custody.
In 2008 he was convicted of six counts of aggravated assault after police say he fired eight to nine shots into the Three Alarm Saloon, 7273 S. State. Bullets ricocheted off the floor, walls and pool table, hitting three patrons. None of the injuries were life-threatening.
The shooting may have been in retaliation for a fight that happened just prior to the shooting, according to police. Madill was already on federal probation at the time for a weapons restriction violation. He was sentenced to a total of up to 10 years in the Utah State Prison, court records state.
In 2017, Madill was convicted of attempted possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person and attempted drug possession and sentenced to up to five years in prison, according to court records,
