Pigeons huddle together as the morning sun starts to warm them at Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City on Tuesday. According to a tweet from the National Weather Service, the temperature at Salt Lake City International Airport dropped below 20 degrees at 8 p.m. Monday night, the first time since Oct. 30 that the temperature there fell below 20 degrees. “That means over 3 months of temps not falling below 20, which is a long stretch for this time of year,” the tweet said. Forecasters at the weather service said Wednesday is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 29 and snow, mainly after 11 p.m. New snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible. Thursday will bring rain and snow showers with a high near 41.
