General conference caution, temple closures and missionary quarantines have all been moves from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to protect members
The coronavirus threat that has left more than 81,000 people sickened globally has prompted The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to take precautionary steps on multiple continents.
A Thursday announcement that the church is discouraging international members from attending April general conference followed temple closures and missionary quarantines earlier this month. The church also donated masks and goggles among other items to China amid the outbreak.
