From President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech to the Senate impeachment vote and the Iowa caucus, it was a busy, nonstop week for news.

Tuesday night, President Trump delivered the State of the Union.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s actions went viral after she tore up Trump’s address at the end of the night.

Problems with the Iowa caucus caused a kerfuffle among Democrats.

The results of the caucus were expected to narrow the field of candidates, but instead ended in confusion and delayed results.

A new mobile app was deployed this year, but didn’t record all the data. Busy phone lines resulted in callers being on hold for hours, and a change in how results are reported all contributed to the mess.

The Senate held its impeachment trial vote.

The impeachment saga came to an end when the Senate voted to acquit President Trump of both charges, abuse of power and obstruction of justice.

Utah Sen. Mitt Romney became the talk of the nation when he announced he would vote to convict Trump. He became the first person to vote to convict a president of his own party.
