SALT LAKE CITY — Jarod Lucas hit two 3-pointers in the final minute — including the game-winner with 1.8 seconds to play — as Oregon State rallied to beat Utah 71-69 in the first round of Pac-12 Tournament play at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday.

The No. 9 seed Utes watched a one-time 14-point lead trimmed to one point in the final minutes, before Alfonso Plummer hit a 3-pointer — his 11th of the day, setting a Pac-12 record — with 1:12 to play to give Utah a four-point cushion.

Lucas, though, made a three with 50 seconds left, and after a Utah turnover, No. 8 seed Oregon State had the chance to win on its final possession. Following a timeout, Tres Tinkle found Lucas in the corner with the clock winding down to hit the winner.

Utah couldn’t get a shot off after the Lucas 3-pointer, falling in the opening game of the tournament.
