Friends and family surprise Nada Stevenson with a drive-by parade in front of her Orem home to celebrate her 100th birthday on Saturday. “I thought nobody can come ’cause of the quarantine, but they found a way to do it. It was very interesting,” Stevenson said of the parade. “I’m very blessed with my family.” On Friday, Gov. Gary Herbert issued a directive to further restrict Utahns’ movements in the community in hopes of slowing the spread of COVID-19. The move has prompted many Utahns to get creative when it comes to birthday parties, weddings and receptions. Under the governor’s directive Utahns are being told to further limit their movements as much as possible. That means refraining from gatherings outside the home and not interacting with friends and family unless it’s urgent. Visiting at-risk populations, such as people in care centers, is out. The directive defines high-risk as people over 60 and those with serious underlying medical conditions.
