Ralph Haws, the father of former BYU basketball player Marty Haws and grandfather of former player Tyler Haws and current player TJ Haws, died Sunday.
BYU Sports Nation’s Spencer Linton and Jarom Jordan shared the news on their show Monday.

Marty Haws, Tyler Haws and TJ Haws are all in the top 25 in BYU history for points scored in a career, with Tyler Haws topping the list.
On Feb. 1, TJ Haws hit what ended up being the game-winning shot to beat Saint Mary’s, and then went to the hospital as his wife Lauren was preparing to give birth to their first child. The next day, their son was born, and was given the name Tyson Ralph Haws.
In a video feature that aired a few days after the birth, TJ Haws indicated that his grandfather’s health was failing.
On this episode of Deep Blue, we dive into the story of @tjhaws30 and how he has learned that life is more than just basketball. It's about family.#PopeShow #BYUhoops pic.twitter.com/Ku21jRM5P3
