You’ve got bingo! Alright alright alright
In mid-March, actor Matthew McConaughey posted a video calling for people to take care of themselves and one another, follow guidelines to prevent spread, and give people hope during the global COVID-19 pandemic.

“There is a green light on the other side of this red light that we’re in right now,” McConaughey said on his Twitter. “I believe that green light is going to be built upon the values that we can enact right now. Values of fairness, kindness, accountability, resilience, respect, courage.”
It was an inspiring message, but now it appears McConaughey isn’t just talking the talk, he’s walking the walk.
Last September, residents at The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living Center in Texas posted a video asking McConaughey to join them for a bingo night, CBS reports. Recently, McConaughey, a Texas native himself, followed through, and joined them to call a virtual bingo game.

After the bingo game, the residents asked McConaughey questions about his favorite things, his ancestry and more, writing them on green pieces of paper in reference to McConaughey’s March message of hope, the Guardian reports.
This isn’t the only creative way The Enclave is entertaining locked down patients, as CNN reports that in late March the senior care center held a socially distanced concert for residents.
