SALT LAKE CITY — Layton police on Monday released the name of a woman who was killed Sunday by a man she just met on a dating app as Ashlyn Black, 25, of Layton.
Ethan Hunsaker, 24, also of Layton, was arrested early Sunday morning after he told police he had killed a woman he met through the Tinder app.
“Hunsaker stated to dispatch he ‘did not know’ the person he had just killed, but had met the victim on an application called Tinder,” police wrote in an affidavit filed in support of his arrest. Hunsaker told police he killed the woman inside his home in the area of 1319 N. Reid Avenue, according to Layton police.
