Letter: I was wrong about Trump, and I’ll vote for him again

You have recently featured two letters from Republicans who plan on voting for Joe Biden. I’d offer my counter opinion.

Two main reasons for my Donald Trump support. First, he has done a great job of being president. He has done what he said he would do. He moved the embassy to Jerusalem. He energized a moribund economy under Obama/Biden. Lower unemployment in the minorities. Historically lower. He promoted judges who should have more respect for our Constitution. He rolled back onerous Obama rules that were hamstringing our economy. If you want our country to suffer economically, Biden is your man. He loves useless rules. If you want our country to bounce back economically, Trump is your guy.

The second reason is Biden is notorious for falsehoods. He started his campaign by “quoting” Trump, saying there were good people on both sides of a dispute. That was completely false — I had listened to the talk, and Biden was dinged for misrepresenting it. But no one remembers. The Biden family has become wealthy somehow through his years of governmental service. I disliked Obama’s use of straw man arguments, and Biden does the same.

I started by disliking Trump and supposing things would not go well. He has done far better than I expected. I was wrong and I admit it. I will vote for him again.
