Police ID Utah man killed in motorcycle crash

MILLCREEK — A 41-year-old Murray man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday.

Adam Lea Simpson was on a motorcycle just before 9 p.m. when he collided with a car near the intersection of 3300 South and 2700 East, according to Unified police.

“What we know is a motorcycle traveling at an extremely high rate of speed, eastbound on 3300 South, collided with a car turning left,” Unified Police Deputy Chief Kris Ownby said Wednesday. “It was dusk ... and it’s difficult to assess speed and distance, especially when the speed is excessive.”

The department’s accident reconstruction team is investigating the crash.
