Universal Orlando reopened Friday. Here’s what it’s like so far

Universal Orlando has officially reopened amid the COVID-19 outbreak

Universal Orlando reopened to the general public Friday with a slew of changes and differences to the world before coronavirus.

What happened:

  • The general public entered Universal Orlando Friday morning.
  • On Thursday, annual passholders had a chance to visit the park before opening to the general public. Safety procedures have been added, including direction and social distancing signs that point people in the proper direction to keep them safe, according to WESHA (via WFLA).
  • Guests have to pass a temperature check before entering CityWalk or visiting the Islands of Adventure or Universal Studios. The check takes seconds.
  • Universal personnel continue to inform guests about the COVID-19 precautions as they enter the park, according to WESHA (via WFLA).
  • Contactless payments have been added to stores and restaurants, too.
