Disney has added a new promotion to its face masks, which were released as the coronavirus pandemic began to sweep across the nation.

What’s happening:

Disney has decided to offer free shipping for anyone interested in buying face masks off Disney’s official website.

Use the code “FREESHIP” for free shipping on the order.

Disney said in a statement:

“Disney is donating one million cloth face masks for children and families in underserved and vulnerable communities across the U.S. that will be distributed by MedShare (www.medshare.org). Due to overwhelming demand, we’re thrilled to share that we have reached our goal of raising $1 million in profits from the sales of our cloth face masks, which will be donated to MedShare to support the medical community’s ongoing efforts to provide lifesaving care to those in need.”

More about the masks

• Disney released face masks that include characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and “Star Wars.” The masks include famous characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Baby Yoda, R2-D2, The Hulk, the Avengers and Sporky from “Toy Story 4,” among other projects, as I reported for the Deseret News.
