State health officials report 410 new cases
SALT LAKE CITY — State health officials reported 410 new cases of COVID-19 and three deaths in Utah on Sunday.
All three deaths were men. One aged 65-84 was hospitalized in Utah County. Another man aged 65-84 lived in Salt Lake County, but health officials had no additional information. A Washington County man older than 85 was hospitalized at the time of his death.
Now, 24,952 out of 371,308 have tested positive for the novel coronavirus for a positive rate of 6.6%.
Seventeen new patients needed hospital treatment for the coronavirus since Saturday. The total hospitalizations with the disease dropped slightly from 193 on Saturday to 183 on Saturday.
Just over 14,100 residents are now considered recovered from COVID-19 after passing the three-week point since their diagnoses.
On Saturday, Utah confirmed a record-tying number of new cases for a day with 676. The states previous daily record for new COVID-19 cases occurred on June 26, when 676 new positive tests were also reported.

- Salt Lake County, 12,540; 853 hospitalized; 113 deaths.
- Utah County, 4,553; 2335 hospitalized; 23 deaths.
- Southwest Utah, 1,689; 1057 hospitalized; 13 deaths.
- Bear River (Box Elder, Cache, Rich), 1,625; 60 hospitalized; 3 deaths.
- Davis County, 1,422; 92 hospitalized; 5 deaths.
- Weber-Morgan, 1,195; 82 hospitalized; 14 deaths.
- Summit County, 519; 47 hospitalized; 1 deaths.
- Wasatch County, 422; 20 hospitalized; 3 deaths.
- San Juan County, 414; 59 hospitalized; 9 deaths.
- Tooele County, 269; 12 hospitalized; 0 deaths.
- Central Utah, 209; 12 hospitalized; 0 deaths.
- TriCounty (Uinta Basin), 55; 3 hospitalized; 0 deaths.
- Southeast Utah, 40; 0 hospitalized; 0 deaths.
