LOGAN — Utah State football’s 2021 recruiting class just got a little bit larger.
Late Thursday night, Bingham High defensive end Tupou Maile announced his pledge to the Aggies’ program over Twitter, becoming the fifth player to commit to USU.

He is listed as 3-star recruit, per 247Sports’ Composite rating — Rivals rates him at 2-stars — and has also received interest from the University of Utah.
As a junior in 2019, he recorded nine total tackles and two sacks, per the Deseret News’ high school football statistical database, highlighted by a season-best performance against Jordan, when he had two tackles and two sacks.

At 6-foot-3, 235 pounds, Maile becomes the second defensive player to join the Aggies’ 2021 recruiting class, along with Sky View High defensive back Isaac Larsen of Smithfield, who per 247Sports, committed to the program in November of 2019.
Other USU commits include 3-star running back Kendric Rhymes (Houston, Texas), 3-star athlete and current quarterback at Box Elder High Parker Buchanan (Brigham City), and tight end Jaden Allen (Sewell, New Jersey).
