Watch: Is the restart of professional and college sports actually going to work?

The sports famine is over, but the future of the seasons are on shaky ground. Will the leagues be able to finish what they started?

It wasn’t even a week after Major League Baseball started up again after a monthslong delay because of the pandemic when a COVID-19 outbreak upended the schedules of at least four teams. At least 19 players and coaches from the Miami Marlins tested positive for the coronavirus, leading to the postponement of several games.

Meanwhile, professional basketball, hockey and soccer are playing in a “bubble,” where all players are isolated to one location to play out an abbreviated season. The bubble concept seems to be working so far, but the not all sports can or will choose to use this plan.

College sports, for example, have no viable bubble option, which leaves fans wondering: what does this mean for the fall seasons, especially the fall football season?
