Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, another member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and a native of St. George, will preside at the groundbreaking of the Red Cliffs Utah Temple in November.
The specific dates were not provided.
Attendance at the groundbreaking ceremonies will be by invitation only in keeping with local government safety guidelines. Photos and video of the events will be made available following the services, according to a church statement.
The Red Cliffs Temple, originally called the Washington County Temple, was announced by President Russell M. Nelson at general conference in October 2018. The Taylorsville temple was announced by President Nelson the following year in October 2019. Utah has 24 temples announced, under construction, under renovation or in operation.
