The weekend brought a dangerous heat warning for Salt Lake City from the National Weather Service. Scorching temperatures were expected to continue Monday — possibly record-breaking ones, said KSL meteorologist Dan Guthrie. “Either way, we start the week with hot temps, before gradually cooling back down to more seasonal temperatures for most of the upcoming week,” Guthrie said. Monday’s high temperature in Salt Lake City is expected to be 102 degrees.
