Disney has pushed back its two biggest hits during the coronavirus pandemic.
Disney has delayed the releases of some of the company’s biggest upcoming films, including “Black Widow” and “The Eternals.”
- “Black Widow” — which was set to be released on Nov. 6 — will move to May 7, 2021.
- “The Eternals” will move to Nov. 5, 2021.
- “Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” will shift to July 7, 2021.
- Originally, “Eternals” was set to follow “Black Widow” with “Shang-Chi” right after. Instead, it looks like “Shang-Chi” will be released first.
Why the switch:
Variety reports that Disney considered changing the dates once seeing “Tenet” pulled low numbers at the box office after its debut.
