Letter: Rasmussen’s polls break the mold. We’ll see who was right

Why is it that pollster and columnist Scott Rasmussen’s poll results on the current presidential race seemingly always favor the president?

According to RealClearPolitics’s updated national listings on Wednesday, Sept. 16, Rasmussen’s poll showed Trump with a 52% approval rating while the other seven national polls — including Gallup, Reuters and Politico — showed the president with approval ratings ranging from 38 to 48. In the category of the current election, Rasmussen showed Trump ahead by one point nationally while the other four polls listed showed Biden ahead by six to nine points. And those are typical of Rasmussen’s presidential poll results compared with those of other national polling companies.

I guess the accuracy of Rasmussen’s contrarian polling results will be revealed after Nov. 3.
