Troopers identify woman struck, killed on I-215

TAYLORSVILLE — Troopers have identified a West Valley woman who died early Friday after being hit by multiple cars on I-215.

Veronica Tapia, 31, who was on the freeway for unknown reasons, was struck near 3800 South, according to Utah Highway Patrol.

Troopers were investigating why Tapia was on the freeway in that location. Updates in the investigation had not been released as of Sunday.
