There will finally be fans — and not just cardboard cutouts — in the stands at LaVell Edwards Stadium this season.
BYU announced Saturday that, in accordance with the state’s new health guidance levels pertaining to COVID-19, approximately 6,000 fans will be allowed at the Cougars’ home game against Texas State next Saturday, Oct. 24.
In accordance with Utah’s new health guidance levels, the BYU-Texas State game on Saturday, Oct 24, will be played with approx. 6,000 spectators in Lavell Edwards Stadium.

The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN at 8:15pm MT.

BYU has played three games in Provo this season in an empty stadium. The Cougars played in front of a crowd for the first time Friday night, as BYU beat Houston at TDECU Stadium in Texas. An announced crowd of 10,092 were in attendance.
