
Utah has seen 93,297 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 540 total deaths as of Saturday, according to the Utah Department of Health. That’s an increase of 1,340 cases from Friday. Three new deaths were reported.

- Total COVID-19 hospitalizations: 4,610
- Total COVID-19 deaths: 540
- Single-day high for reported cases: 1,501 (Oct. 8)
- Single-day high for reported deaths: 15 (Oct. 2)

On Friday, the state saw its third largest daily increase of coronavirus patients. It was another “sobering day” for Utah.
Worldwide
Globally, the novel coronavirus pandemic has now infected 39,023,292 and killed 1,099,586 people as of Saturday, according to the World Health Organization.
