Utah has seen 94,394 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 543 total deaths as of Sunday, according to the Utah Department of Health. That’s an increase of 1,097 cases from Saturday. Three new deaths were reported.

- Single-day high for reported cases: 1,501 (Oct. 8)
- Single-day high for reported deaths: 15 (Oct. 2)
Recently
- On Saturday, the number of current COVID-19 hospitalizations in Utah reached a record high of nearly 300.
- On Friday, the state saw its third largest daily increase of coronavirus patients. It was another “sobering day” for Utah.
Worldwide
Globally, the novel coronavirus pandemic has now infected 39,596,858 and killed 1,107,374 people as of Sunday, according to the World Health Organization.
