Coronavirus: Utah responds to the pandemic

Utah has seen 101,509 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 567 total deaths as of Friday, according to the Utah Department of Health. That’s an increase of 1,960 cases from Thursday. Four new deaths were reported.

Here are the latest numbers.

• Total number of COVID-19 cases: 101,509
• Total reported people tested: 1,012,740
• Total COVID-19 hospitalizations: 4,939
• Total COVID-19 deaths: 567
• Single-day high for reported cases: 1,960 (Oct. 23)
• Single-day high for reported deaths: 15 (Oct. 2)

Worldwide

Globally, the novel coronavirus pandemic has now infected 41,570,883 and killed 1,134,940 people as of Friday, according to the World Health Organization.
