Did ‘The Masked Singer’ accidentally reveal The Crocodile?

A recent hint from the Crocodile may have offered a reveal since the story is widely known.

Warning: Potential spoilers for “The Masked Singer.”

“The Masked Singer” may have accidentally revealed the identity of the Crocodile through a clue that has a relatively well-known story behind it.

What happened?

Last week, the Crocodile revealed a clue about his identity, saying that his dad wasn’t supportive of him early in his career. He said he gave his dad his first $100 check, hoping it would make him proud.

That’s a pretty intimate story. But reports suggest it’s a well-known story for Backstreet Boys fans, who may have read the story from Nick Carter in his 2013 autobiography “Facing the Music and Living to Talk About It.”

One fan posted a snippet of the book on Facebook, showing how the Crocodile is likely Nick Carter.

The masked singer explained clues around the number five, a pirate flag and a disco ball. Nick Carter was a member of a five-member band, has a Tampa Bay Buccaneers tattoo and competed on “Dancing with the Stars.”
