A video released by the NYPD showed 67-year-old Moranis walking near Central Park when a man punched him and knocked him to the ground.
Actor Rick Moranis was injured Thursday in a random attack in New York City, according to NBC News.
The “Ghostbusters” and “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” star was seen in a video released by the NYPD, which showed Moranis walking near Central Park before another man punched him in the head and knocked him to the ground, according to NBC.
Moranis, who is 67, went to the hospital with pain in his head, back and hip, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“He is fine but grateful for everyone’s thoughts and well-wishes,” a representative for Moranis told THR.

Police have asked for help in identifying the suspect, who was wearing a black hoodie with the words “I (Love) NY,” according to People magazine.
Moranis had come back into the public eye after a hiatus from acting, and is set to return in a new reboot of “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” Entertainment Weekly reported. Moranis stepped back from his acting career after his wife died of cancer in 1991, so he could focus on raising his children.
On social media, many people offered well-wishes to Moranis for a speedy recovery, as well as hopes that the man who attacked him would be found.
One well-wisher was “Captain America” actor Chris Evans, who tweeted Friday morning, “My blood is boiling. Find this man. You don’t touch Rick Moranis.”
