Academy Award-winner actor Jeff Bridges said Monday that he has been diagnosed with lymphoma.
- “I have been diagnosed with lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good. I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery.

Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which includes the lymph nodes, bone marrow and spleen. He did not explain which version of the disease he has, though, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Treatment for lymphoma can include “chemotherapy, radiation therapy, bone marrow transplant, immunotherapy medications, or a combination of these,” according to Entertainment Weekly.
Other celebrities who passed way from lymphoma include Michael C. Hall, Mr. T, Gene Wilder and Andy Whitfield.
