The majority of us wait around all year for the huge Black Friday sales season, the excitement for November. Christmas and New Year’s grand price drop deals entice people of all ages. It has now become a global event where people all over the world look forward to making purchases during this awaited, exciting price-drop season. However, the situation this year will be quite different, with the looming pandemic, and the risk of contracting the virus in the crowds raises a high concern.
For hotspots for shopping like Park City — with branded outlets and other huge shopping malls and marts — their management certainly will be planning ahead for preventive measures, ensuring a safe shopping environment, which is an essential need for this grand sales season.
Allowing a restricted number of people at each shopping outlet, allotting personnel outside the stores to monitor the number of people entering, and maintaining the required distance can serve as workable solutions. These or related measures will help mitigate the risk of COVID-19 spread, as it’s an occasion with accelerating chances of spreading the virus. These practices, planned ahead, can allow people to enjoy sales which they wait long for, and the businesses can earn after this slow year of the market.
We as consumers have the responsibility to oblige to distancing requirements and also wear masks so that we can enjoy our shopping and contribute effectively to prevent the spread of this virus.
